The documentation behind the product

Everything a purchasing or quality department normally asks for, in one place.

ISPM 15 heat treatment

ISPM 15 – EE-5271

EE-5271 is our own heat-treatment registration number. Wooden packaging treated and marked under it complies with ISPM 15, the international phytosanitary standard for wood packaging material, and can cross borders outside the EU without being held for treatment.

  • Treatment and marking carried out in-house
  • Applies to pallets, collars, boxes and custom packaging
  • IPPC stamp applied to each treated unit
  • Treatment certificate issued with the delivery on request

The official certificate and marking artwork are published here once supplied.

EU regulation

PPWR and wooden packaging

The EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation changes what packaging users have to be able to prove. Here is where wooden packaging sits.

The PPWR replaces the earlier packaging directive with a regulation that applies directly across the EU. It tightens requirements around recyclability, reuse, minimisation and the documentation that accompanies packaging placed on the market.

Wooden transport packaging is comparatively well positioned under it. Pallets, collars and boxes are reusable by design, repairable board by board, made from a renewable material, and recyclable or recoverable at end of life. A collar that folds flat and comes back is exactly the reuse model the regulation is trying to encourage.

What changes for you as a buyer is mainly evidence. You will increasingly need to state what your packaging is made of, how it is intended to be reused, and what happens to it afterwards. We keep that information for the products we supply and provide it on request.

This section is general information about the regulation and our products, not legal advice. Obligations under the PPWR depend on your role in the supply chain and on the implementing acts still being finalised — please assess your own position with your compliance advisers.

  • Single-material wooden construction, easy to declare
  • Designed for reuse and repair rather than disposal
  • Renewable raw material from regional sawmills
  • Recyclable or recoverable at end of life
  • Material and construction data available for your documentation
